Figuring out the true cost of a Youth Sports Website

Interchange is a fixed cost that all processors must pay to Visa and MasterCard, and it cannot be negotiated.  Interchange Plus means that the price you are quoted is the processor's markup over a published Interchange rate.    Unlike a Tiered bid, where you are often quoted "Qualified" and "Non-Qualified" rates which hide the processor's markup, an Interchange Plus bid is completely transparent about what the processor will charge.  With an Interchange Plus bid, you will not be charged expensive Downgrade fees.  Youth Sports Organizations should DEMAND an Interchange Plus plan for accepting online transactions for your sports website since they are transparent and very easy to compare against one another.
